The Ladybug's Sweet Treat
Story

Angie’s passion for baking began early, inspired by her aunt who baked cakes for family celebrations. While she always had an interest in baking, it wasn’t until she was pregnant with her second child, Aubree, that she truly began to pursue it. Angie took cake-decorating classes and taught herself techniques from YouTube, with her first major project being Aubree's baby shower cake.

For over a decade, Angie baked from home, creating cakes for various events and perfecting her skills. The name Ladybugs' Sweet Treats is a tribute to her late father. During his hospital stay, ladybugs mysteriously appeared in his room and became a lasting symbol of his presence for Angie and her family.

After working for 23 years at a veterinary hospital, Angie took on a part-time role at a local bakery, which sparked her passion for baking. Through her involvement at a community recreation center, Angie met Amanda, who invited her to join her bakery on Fridays and Saturdays. This partnership grew, and as Amanda chose to focus solely on custom orders, Angie took the opportunity to take over the storefront, continuing to bring sweet treats to the community.

Now, Ladybugs' Sweet Treats is a local favorite in Hickory, where Angie was born and raised. Her goal is to make it a beloved community bakery known for its scratch-made goods and personal touch.
Angie’s love for baking has transformed into a full-time career, and she looks forward to watching Ladybugs' Sweet Treats continue to grow as a recognized name in the community.
